“Platelet Rich Plasma”, which is called by the abbreviation PRP, is the name given to the plasma enriched by one of the blood cells, platelets. Basically, the blood is divided into two parts; The liquid part is called plasma, and the cells part consists of three types of cell groups called red blood cells (erythrocytes), white blood cells (leukocytes), and platelets (thrombocytes, platelets). PRP, on the other hand, is to obtain the plasma, which is the liquid part of the blood, by applying various processes to ensure that thrombocytes are found in it intensively.

It has been observed that PRP, which is used in the treatment of chronic non-healing wounds, joint and muscle damage, and dental treatments, has been used in cosmetic areas for skin rejuvenation in recent years, and quite good results have been obtained.

How is it applied?

After the necessary procedures, approximately 4-5 ml of PRP can be applied in several ways. The most common method of application is injecting it into the targeted area with fine needles, as in mesotherapy. It can also be done in the form of giving high volume as in filling applications. Another way of application is to apply with a PRP-impregnated mask. Obtaining PRP from blood takes about 30 minutes, and the application process takes around 30 minutes.
